The Four Revealed Books in Islam – The Books of AllahThe Christian monastics of pre-Islamic Arabia were known to carry psalters, called zabuur. In the Qur'an, the Zabur is mentioned by name only three times. The Qur'an itself says nothing about the Zabur specifically, except that it was revealed to David and that in the Zabur is written "My servants the righteous, shall inherit the earth". And your Lord is most knowing of whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And We have made some of the prophets exceed others [in various ways], and to David We gave the book [of Psalms]. And We have already written in the book [of Psalms] after the [previous] mention that the land [of Paradise] is inherited by My righteous servants. No books are known to have been written by King David of Israel , either through archeology or biblical accounts.

Quran — an intricate and beautiful book that is a light, a warning, a promise for Muslims. It was divinely revealed over fourteen hundred years ago. The Quran, the holy book of Islam, was given to Muhammad, the final prophet of Islam. Believing in all four books is an essential part of the Islamic creed. Each book was revealed by God to these messengers who then passed His words onto their people. While the Book of Abraham has been entirely lost, the Psalms, the Torah, and the Gospel, according to Islam, are no longer in their original state. They have been added to, cannot be traced directly to their prophets, or were simply altered.
