Persephone (Spoiler Free) - REVIEW

9 Modern Greek Mythology Retellings That Will Change The Way You Think About The Classic Tales

I kind of hate Greek mythology. But mostly, I had a horrific experience of trying to cram all the myths into my brain on one of the last days of summer to prepare for a class that then never touched any of the myths. But one myth that I have always loved is the Persephone and Hades myth. Sure, he wanted companionship, but would he force Persephone? Persephone had a toxic relationship with her mom and decided she kind of liked this dude and now she gets to rule the underworld for half the year.

You can also see them in shows, movies, plays, etc. Romantic tropes are everywhere, and they are fabulous. I adore them and I always tend to find my favorite ones in romance books so I can enjoy them more. I decided to do a sort of Trope Tuesday piece where I will be talking about many tropes and recommend you all some of my favorites that fit. What is a trope? It can also be described as another variation on the same theme.

This amazing tale contains Greek myths full of adventures, romance and drama. Thanks for voting!

Believe it or not, some of my favorite kinds of books are the ones that pull from stories I already know. -

  1. In the year I worked on Persephone, so did several other completely unconnected authors.
