Duck and Waffle Local - London, | OpenTableThe restaurant itself has a buzzy, lively atmosphere with an open kitchen and low ceiling featuring a cornucopia of hanging decorations. The menu is designed for sharing, with simple dishes transformed by gourmet flourishes: wild mushrooms served with a fried duck egg, sprouts, walnut and truffle, and wild Cornish Pollock balls with lobster cream. Menu highlights Despite being a hour restaurant, the brunch dishes are the main attraction, particularly the eponymous duck and waffle itself although this is also served on the all-day menu. The tender, juicy duck leg complements the fluffy waffle and soft yolk perfectly, especially when doused in that mustard maple syrup. With so many contrasting flavours and textures, you could be forgiven for being skeptical, but it really does work. The spicy ox-cheek doughnut and the crispy pig's ears are also definitely worth a try; although you may end up keeping them both to yourself Type keyword s to search.

Once you get past the door-person on the ground — always say you have a reservation to get through the barrier — it's into the super-fast lift which zooms non-stop to the top. This is not one for vertigo sufferers — the lift is transparent and fixed to the outside. But the views over the City as you ascend are well worth the trip. You could ride up and down all day for free! Despite this, booking is difficult.

Hello we are landing at Heathrow at 9pm we have a car taking us to Batty Langley's hotel. After we check in we would like to find somewhere for dinner it will only be 5pm our time but probably 11pm London time when we get to the hotel. It's hard to make a reservation because we are unsure about customs timing, etc. Thank-you for any help. Or a Sunday before a Bank Holiday. You won't need to book that late at night.
First of all, reservation is a must for this outlet. If you want to do a walk-in, you can try their other outlet which is 'Duck and Waffle Local". Well we tried to make an on-line booking 2 months ahead but was not successful. So we dropped them an email and secured a booking immediately. We had the signature Duck and Waffle, bacon wrapped dates and crispy polenta.
